Established in 2001, H.O.P.E.Through Divine Intervention, Inc., (HTDI), a 501(c) (3) "community-based" non-profit organization, has been committed to Helping Other People Excel (H.O.PE.), by advancing solutions that empower qualityhousing and supportive services as platforms to eradicate homelessness, improve the lives of the most vulnerable people, maximize public and private resources, and build healthy communities.
HTDI was co-founded by honorable militaryveteran, Jake Curtis, and Selina Beene, in response to the alarming increase of chronic homelessness in the Metro Atlanta Area, and to address the growing need they recognized among the homeless population, regarding housing, for individuals and families, waiting to get into transitional programs and treatment centers.
Through their vision, HTDI has been at the forefront of efforts to ensure that individuals and families with the greatest challenges to housing stability, have the opportunity to live in quality, affordable, and safe housing where they can access the supportive services they need to live independently. Active for over 14 years, HTDI has been dedicated to Helping Other People Excel, by providing quality affordable housing programs, case management, and other supportive services that empower chronically homeless, very low-to-moderate income individuals and families who may be coping with special needs such as substance abuse, mental health and HIV/AIDS related issues. HTDI is approved as a state and local CHDO (Community Housing Development Organization), and has successfully managed a variety of housing programs, foreclosure prevention services, after foreclosure programs, homeowner training, and home ownership programs.
